1. Specialized Content. Niche blogs are designed to have a very small content focus and all of its blog posts must be strongly related to the niche and its keywords while only occasionally drawing material from the general topic from which it is drawn.

2. Small Scale. The niche blog has a very small content base or a tight niche. This allows it to easily go in depth on the chosen topic and dominate it.

3. Unique Content. While niche blogs can be created through feed-based methods of content via search engines or other blogs, they have more long term value for visitors if they offer content that is unique and original.

4. Adsense-friendly Blog Template. Basically, you’ll need a fairly unique blog template that is easily customizable, SEO’ed and flexible enough to accommodate additional methods of monetizing. (we’ve got you covered there)

5. Has an audience. It is important to choose a niche that actually has an audience, no matter how small. Ideally, the niche should be one that will naturally (or organically) receive search engine visitors over time and gradually increase in traffic.
