At least one of our readers has had a few questions on how to monetize the Niche Friday gifts. So, I’m going to give you a sneak peak into my thought processes as I research them. You’ll find it’s not as difficult as it may seem.

Many of the keywords I’ve chosen for you have very little competition. Some of them have NONE. This means you will be the one providing the information when the keyword is searched. The search engines will get you into their database fast. They want the information you will be providing because in some cases you are the only source for that search term.

The niche this week is landscaping drilled down to landscaping around a patio. A few weeks ago we did gardening. Now assuming that you have chosen to blog on gardening and have worked your readership and traffic up…you could easily add this week’s niche. Some, if not all, your readers could be interested in this topic as well. (Since you may be one of the few offering any content on the topic, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that you could have built a readership and traffic in a few weeks).

As I was researching landscaping, one of the keywords that came up was landscaping around a hot tub. Those of you who have been with us awhile may remember one of the Niche Friday gifts was the hot tub niche. Again– you could add landscaping to your blog empire and have some spill over reader interest in both topics.

Another future Niche Friday will be landscaping with an emphasis on a photography theme. Let’s suppose you enjoy digital photography. Well, there you go…a photo blog that ties into to all of the niche blogs I’ve mentioned so far. You could even jump into the the digital photography niche.

Do you see how these all begin to dovetail and interconnect? Your readers may share all these interests. If you have CPA offers, and/or affiliate or even your own products, the opportunities are endless for monetizing. You don’t have to settle for the pocket change you usually earn from Adsense. With the photo blog idea, you could even schedule weekend trips to take pictures at public gardens. Check with your accountant, the trips may be partially deductable as a business expense. You can feed your blog and photography addiction as well as make an income from both…It doesn’t get much better than that!
